Community
Edendale is a rural village of around 600 people.  There is a wonderful compliment of resources in the township which include…

Community facilities – swimming pool, rugby grounds, netball and tennis courts, bowling green, playgrounds and a town hall.

The town is serviced by a dairy, Fish and Chip Take away shop, butcher, hairdresser, post shop, garages, and engineering firms.

There are a variety of organisations for children including:  playgroups, early childcare centre and youth groups.

Wider Community
Our school works in partnership with the wider community in many ways.  The local rugby club use our grounds for practices and games.    

Services at the school such as photocopying, laminating and binding are available to the community at very competitive prices.

The community swimming pool is supported by a separate  Committee (Edendale Community Pool Society) who work hard to maintain this excellent facility.   The community is very fortunate to have a group of volunteers who keep this wonderful facility up and running for the community.  Fonterra's continued support of the pool is very much appreciated.
